The Writers for Hire wrote, edited, and oversaw the production of a quarterly newsletter for a major business district in Houston. The newsletter presented a mix of news, feature stories, restaurant reviews, and profiles of area residents and businesspeople.
We handled almost every aspect of the newsletter, including:
|Project management. Our team assigned stories and ensured timely delivery for publication. We also created a custom, project-specific style guide to ensure consistent word choice, punctuation, and proofreading.
|Research and information gathering. Each newsletter required dozens of hours of interviews – on-site and by telephone — with a variety of local businesspeople, residents, and district representatives. We also attended a variety of business and community events to cover events as they happened.
|Writing and editing. We wrote, edited, and proofread anywhere from 7 to 10 news and feature articles per newsletter – usually within a 2-to 3-week time-frame. In addition, our team edited and proofread special contributions from community members.
|Photography. In many cases, our writers were responsible for providing photos to accompany their articles.
